- Add the milk gradually until the dough forms. It should be soft and slightly sticky to touch
- Rest the dough for around 10 minutes and then roll out to about 2.5 cm. Cut into rounds, carefully re-rolling the dough to get around 6 scones. Put the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
- Rest the dough again for around 20 minutes then brush with egg wash and and bake in the oven for 10 minutes
- Check they are fully cooked by tapping the bottom (should sound hollow). Transfer to a cooling rack once you are happy they are cooked.
