  1. In the pressure cooker add dill leaves, toor dal salt and water.close the cooker with lid and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles. Let the pressure release naturally.
  2. Next heat oil in pan. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds let mustard seeds pop add ginger,garlic paste and curry leaves and saute for seconds and then add the onion and saute for mins until onion turn soft. Add pinch of salt, turmeric and sambar powder cover and let it cook for 4 to 5 mins.
  3. After add the mashed dill leaves and toordal into the pan. Cover and let it simmer for about 4 to 5 mins.turn off the flame and serve with chapati or rice as you like.
