  6. Take 1/2 teaspoon kewra essence
  7. Make ready 1 tablespoon cashewnut powder

Instructions to make Traditional Firni:
  1. Wash and soak basmati rice in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and coarsely grind in a grinder.
  3. Boil milk for 10 minutes. Add rice flour portion by portion and stir continuously to avoid lumping. Add all rice flour and cook for 2-3minutes on medium heat, stirring continuously.
  4. Add khoya and cashew nut powder. Stir.
  5. Add sugar and further cook for 5 minutes. Add half chopped dry fruits. Reserve half for garnishing.
  6. At this stage, firni is somewhat this. Remove from stove cool for 5 minutes. Add kewra water and take out in serving dishes.
  7. Serve.
