- Spoon into a sterilised jar and seal - This will keep in the cupboard for months and up to 1 month in the fridge once opened
Bring the mixture to the boil and reduce to a simmer. Bring back to a boil and cook until the chutney has thickened. Method: Take tomatoes, chilli powder, salt, sugar and tamarind in a mixer, puree smoothly. Heat oil in a kadai, add in mustard seeds and let them splatter. Now add in the puree and cook till oil separates.
