  1. In a pan, heat the oil and sauté the onion until soft - about 10 mins.
  2. Add the mustard seeds and ginger. Stir for 1 -2 mins.
  3. Add the gooseberries, sugar and vinegar. Stir. Then cook on a low heat for about 15mins - until the berries are soft.

These Rasbhari's are not easily available here in Dubai. So when ever I visit India i try to bring a bag full of rasbhari with me. These rasbhari's are best enjoyed withe little salt and red chili powder,taste just amazing ! In a saucepan, combine sugars, vinegar and nutmeg. Place the cinnamon, cloves and allspice in a cheesecloth bag; place in saucepan.
