The ingredients needed to make Watermelon Sweet Paan:
  1. Prepare 4-5 white part of watermelon
  2. Take 1/3 cup sugar
  3. Prepare 1 cup Water
  4. Take as needed Colour of your choice
  5. Prepare 2 tbsp Milk powder
  6. Prepare 2 tbsp Dessicated coconut
  7. Get handful Dry fruits
  8. Prepare 5 tbsp Milk
  9. Prepare 1 pinch cardamon powder
  10. Prepare As needed Cherry
  11. Take as needed Cloves

Have some paper towels handy to wipe up some of the juice. These not only looks super adorable but taste so delicious that you cannot stop with just one. I wanted to try out the variety shapes of kaju sweets which i saw on the shelves of one of my favourite bakery. I thought of making kaju watermelon, strawberry, apple & lotus.

Steps to make Watermelon Sweet Paan:
  1. Cut the white part of watermelon skin in a triangular shape or the triangle part of the skin, as shown in pic 1. The thickness should be as in pic 2. Not too thin, not too broad. Remove only the white part of it and throw away the green one..
  2. Now boil them for about 7 to 8 mins. till they become transparent in colour as shown in pic 1. Now keep them aside.
  3. Now heat a pan and pour a cup of water into it. Once it comes to boil add sugar into it. After the sugar melts, add those skin to it. Add a pinch of food colour of your choice. And cook it for about 7 to 8 mins. Turn off the flame and remove them in a tissue paper so that extra sugar syrup and colour gets soaked up.
  4. Now again heat a pan fry the dry fruits in a tsp of ghee, now add the milk powder and dessicated coconut and fry them all till 30 secs or a min. Now add milk and 1 tbsp of sugar and cook it in a low flame till 5 mins. Cook it till the ghee starts leaving the pan. Switch off the flame.
  5. Now place a tsp of the mixture in between the watermelon skin as shown in the image and seal it in a triangular shape by joining all the 3 edges or corners of it. Now prick it with a laung to seal it…You can apply silver leaves on it to give a pretty touch like sweet mart…
  6. Ready to Serve

I wanted to try out the variety shapes of kaju sweets which i saw on the shelves of one of my favourite bakery. I thought of making kaju watermelon, strawberry, apple & lotus. Taste the watermelon before making juice. To whip low fat cream, chill the bowl, beater hands and the cream for few hours. Also use only the thick cream.
