  4. When the colour is change milky shade to brown shade it is ready.
  5. Turn off the gas and strain in cups.

On day six, the ginger still isn't overpowering. With its high levels of Vitamin C, magnesium and other minerals, ginger root is extremely beneficial for health. Once made into tea, you can add peppermint, honey or lemon to mask the taste of the ginger. Ginger tea is a non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated, and virtually calorie-free drink (unless you add a sweetener). So, it's a great option if you're cutting back on any of the above.
