Clean them properly if you are using the whole fish and make it into small pieces. Preparation for fish curry Marinate fish with ½ tbsp ginger garlic paste, ⅛ tsp turmeric, ¼ tsp red chilli powder & ¼ tsp salt.

The ingredients needed to make Fish Curry:
- Take 6-8 curry leaves
- Make ready 5-6 fish
- Take 1 tbsp Red chilli Powder
- Get 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- Get 1/4 tsp corinder powder
- Make ready 1/4 tsp cumin powder
- Make ready to taste Salt
- Prepare 3 pieces Kokum
- Make ready 2 tomatoes chopped
- Take 1/4 cup oil
- Get Grind together for masala
- Make ready 1/3 cup coconut
- Get 6 curry leaves
- Prepare As needed Coriander leaves
- Take 2 green chillies
- Make ready 4 garlic cloves
- Take as needed water
Take one tablespoon of korma paste, along with pickle lime and add to the fish. Add a little bit of cooked rice into the bowl, put a flatbread. Spoon your curry generously into the bowl. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
Steps to make Fish Curry:
- Take a kadhai heat oil add curry leaves and cumin seeds now add tomatoes and saute on medium flame for 3 to 4 mins.then mash it with spoon and cook for more 1 to 2mins.
- Take grinded masala and add into the tomato and saute for sometimes.now add Turmeric+red chilli powder+salt+corinder powder+cumin powder and mix it well saute for few seconds and add some water.
- Bring it to a boil then add washed fish pieces and cook for 10mins on medium flame.Take1/2 tbsp rice flour add water 3 tbsp make a thin batter and add to the salan mix it cook for 1/2 mint(this step is totally optional if u want u can skip this step) and your salan is ready.
Spoon your curry generously into the bowl. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary. Serve the curry with rice in warmed serving bowls, sprinkled with toasted desiccated coconut, if using. Frozen fish fillets also work well in fish curry. My preferred fish species for this curry are cod, Saddletail Snapper and Goldband Snapper.
