Churma Ladoo is one of the most wholesome and delicious ladoos you could make at home, and what better way than to make it for festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. A very traditional ladva or ladoo, this Rajasthani speciality is made for Lord Ganesha on this festive day. Churma is a sweet dish made from whole wheat flour, ghee or clarified butter and sugar or jaggery. It can either be eaten loose (the way it is sometimes served in Rajasthan, Indian) or shaped into round balls or ladoo (traditionally seen in Gujarat, India).

  1. In a large bowl add wheat flour besan and semolina mix these then add oil 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil and warm water and knead into a dough.
  2. Now take the dough and make shapes of a fist and fry these in oil till they are golden brown
  3. Then cut these into little shapes let them cool down and grind them to a powder and leave aside
  4. Now melt ghee in a pan and add the jaggery and melt the jaggery. Then add this mixture to the powder already prepared then add nutmeg and cardamon powder. Mix these well
  5. Using a mould make these laddoos and garnish with poppy seeds great dessert warm or cold after dinner 😊
